UCTNA Launches Ambassador Program

David Knapp | Published on 10/22/2024

In an effort to increase transparency and communication with our regional and local councils, the UCT North America Board of Directors have established the Ambassador Program.

The Ambassador Program consists of an individual from specific areas of the country that will serve as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the regional and local councils. An ambassador will be the Board of Directors' eyes, ears and hands of UCTNA.

The role of an ambassador is multifaceted. They will stay in contact with their designated regions and local councils, keeping them up to date on the latest developments and news of UCTNA. Here are several of the functions that can be expected from an ambassador:

  • Help regional and local councils become familiar with UCTNA's Club Express management website.
  • Verify the status and monitor the membership of the councils in their respective area.
  • Answer questions concerning UCTNA and Club Express.
  • Monitor council volunteer activities.
  • Help organize and facilitate online Zoom meetings between councils and board members if needed.
  • Help recruit members to serve as Board of Directors or as an international level team member.
  • Ambassadors will be required to periodically attend meetings with the Board of Directors.

The program is still in the beginning stages of development. Past International President Jim Walsh is heading up the program and will be reaching out to selected ambassadors to discuss training and assignments. If you are interested in becoming a UCT North America Ambassador please contact Jim at jim-walsh@comcast.net.

Board members have high expectations for the new program and hope that the members will benefit from having personal contacts to help manage their councils. To find your regional ambassador go to UCTNA's website or click here: Ambassador Program Representatives.
