From the desk of UCTNA President Doug Honeyford

Many of you will soon be finalizing plans for Thanksgiving with friends and family and reflecting on all the blessings life has provided and as the seasons change many of us have a great deal to be thankful for and as part of the UCTNA family think of those who have had a difficult year.

The outreach to your communities that many of you share are in a word, “spectacular.” Please keep informing us of your council activities and projects. Food insecurity seems to be the number one concern of many councils and the tens of thousands of dollars plus the time our members share certainly does not go without notice, keep up your wonderful work. Another item that I am most thankful for are the people who have stepped forward to move UCTNA forward and have accepted roles to assist the hard-working Board members with vital tasks in communication, organization, and continuation of our fellowship. Please consider stepping up and offering your skills, many hands make light work.

Today I am asking for your assistance with a few items. First, we need to be sure that all of our members get their dues up to date and provide us with proper email addresses, so please check your information with your local secretary and reach out to others you know and help them get back where they need to be.

Take a few minutes and go to all the pages of uctna.org and if you have not yet had a chance, please do the survey regarding a UCTNA International conference, your opinion really matters. When you scroll through the pages look at the “benefits of membership” and the discounts and perks. Take advantage of these items and you will agree it really pays to be a member. Get familiar with your website as we will be expanding the available information for you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email, when you have news to share, we want to hear from you. Help your council in anyway you can, and most importantly, thank you for your membership. We need you and appreciate each and every member. You are the face of UCTNA and you are the ones who make it all happen.

Fraternally yours,

Doug
